Wheelchair & Scooter Service

The CNE’s wheelchair and scooter rental program is operated in partnership with Scouts Canada.

Reservations are recommended! Scouts Canada will start taking reservations on June 5, 2017

Wheelchairs and a limited number of electric Scooters are available in two locations at the CNE (10 am to 9 pm; 7 pm on Labour Day Monday):

1.      Scouts Canada Trailer: Just north of the Princes’ Gates (to your right as you enter via the Princes’ Gates)
2.      Guest Services, Better Living Centre:  north west corner of the large white building at west end of the grounds, adjacent to the CNE Farm

A wheelchair rental is $10 per day and guests are required to leave a $50 refundable deposit (cash or credit card accepted) and show proof of residence identification. This service is available from 10 am to 10 pm at both locations. Wheelchairs should be returned to the location from which they were rented. Guests leaving after 11 pm can return their wheelchairs to the Lost & Found Children location in the Better Living Centre (located beside Scouts Canada). All equipment must be returned to this location by 11:00 pm.

Electric Scooters are also available for rent at $35 per day plus a $100 refundable deposit (cash or credit card accepted) and proof of residence identification. Scooters are available from 10 am and MUST BE RETURNED by 9 pm to the location from which it was rented (either the Better Living Centre or Scouts Canada trailer) so your deposit refund can be processed. Advance reservations are recommended. Free Scout Escorts are available from 10 am to 4 pm to assist on the grounds. 

 

Note: Wheelchairs & Scooters must be returned to the location from which they were rented. Scooters must be returned by 9 pm, wheelchairs must be returned by 11 pm. 

Note: Reservations for Wheelchairs will only be guaranteed up to one hour past the reservation time. Scooters that have been reserved must be pick up no later that 12 pm (noon) on the day of the reservation or may be eligible to be rented to another guest. 

Guests leaving after 10 pm can return their wheelchairs to the Lost and Found Children’s area in the Better Living Centre. All equipment must be returned to this area by 11:00 pm.
