What are the dates of the 2018 CNE?
The dates for the 2018 CNE are August 17 until September 3.
What are the dates and hours of the Casino
The CNE Casino runs from July 28 until September 3, 2018 from Noon to 6 am each day, except for Labour Day. The CNE Casino is open from Noon to 8 pm on Labour Day. Please note that the Casino will be closed on Saturday August 4, 2018.
What are the dates and hours for Horsecapades?
HorseCapades runs from July 28 to August 16, 2018 and is open from 11 am until 2 pm. Elements of HorseCapades will move into The Farm in the Better Living Centre during the CNE (August 17 to September 3).
What time do buildings open/close?
All buildings are open from 10 am to 10 pm, except on Labour Day. Building hours on Labour Day are 10 am to 7 pm.
What time do the grounds open/close?
The grounds are open from 10 am to midnight, except on Labour Day. On Labour Day the grounds are open from 10 am to 9 pm, and the gates close at 5 pm.
What time does the Midway open/close?
The midway is open from 11 am to midnight on weekdays and 10 am to midnight on weekends.

Where can I purchase tickets to the 2018 CNE?
Way to purchase tickets include:
- Online at theex.com - Tickets are available here now for a discounted rate until August 16. Tickets will be available online starting August 17 until September 3, 2018 at the regular rate.
- Gift Card Tickets - Admission and Ride-All-Day Passes will be available at participating GTA supermarkets, Canadian Tire, Shoppers Drug Mart and Rexall stores in July.
- GO Transit Stations - Tickets will be available for purchase at participating GO Transit stations in the coming weeks.
- CNE Gate - You can purchase your tickets at any CNE gate from August 17 to September 3, 2018.
What forms of payment can I use to purchase tickets at the gate?
Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Debit, Visa Debit, and cash are accepted forms of payment when purchasing tickets at the gate. All charges will be made in Canadian funds.

Do the vendors at the CNE accept debit/credit?
Debit and credit machines are not mandatory for CNE vendors. They use them at their own discretion. There are ATMs available throughout the grounds and in most buildings.
Can I access the CNE grounds if I have a ticket for the Budweiser Stage and BMO Field?
Yes, you can access the CNE grounds for free with your Budweiser Stage and BMO Field ticket.
Can I re-enter the CNE grounds if I leave?
Yes you can. Please ensure you ask for a hand stamp before you leave and you can re-enter on the same day.
Are there ATMs located on the CNE grounds?

Are there storage lockers available?
Yes, storage lockers are available at the CNE for a $2 toonie. There are 5 different locations for storage lockers:
- North side of the Press Building;
- West side of the Enercare Centre;
- West side of the GO Train station;
- South Side of the Scouts trailer at the Princes’ Gate and
- in the East Midway.
Is there free WiFi at the CNE?
Yes. Stay tuned for all WiFi locations!
Can I smoke on the grounds?
Smoking is allowed on the CNE grounds with the exception of all buildings and within 9 metres of Kids’ World. Please be considerate of other guests when smoking in designated areas.
Can I purchase cigarettes on the CNE grounds?
Cigarettes are not sold on the CNE grounds.
Are there wagons available for rent?
Yes, wagons are available for rent at Information Booths at the following locations:
- Princes’ Gate;
- GO/TTC Gate and
- Princess Margaret Fountain
The wagons are available from 10 am to 10 pm at a rate of $10 per day. A $50 refundable deposit is required along with a piece of ID. Stay tuned for Information Booth wagon rental locations!
Are there strollers available for rent?
There are no strollers available for rent at the CNE, but you can rent wagons at Information Booths located at the Princes’ Gate, GO/TTC Gate and Princess Margaret Fountain.
Can I rent a wheelchair at the CNE?
Scouts Canada offers Wheelchairs for $10 per day ($50 refundable deposit and valid photo ID required) and Electronic Scooters for $35 ($100 refundable deposit and valid ID). Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling Scouts Canada at 416-490-6364 ext. 452 from June 1 until August 16 or during the CNE 416-649-2296.
What is the CNE’s weather policy?
With a variety of indoor and outdoor activities taking place during the 18 days of the fair, the CNE operates rain or shine. Some outdoor attractions or shows may be postponed or cancelled in the event of an electrical storm for the safety of both CNE performers and visitors. In this case, where stage performances are concerned, an announcement will be made from the stage.

Where can I park at the CNE?
The CNE has two off-site lots and a number of on-site lots. The parking rate at our onsite lots is $30 to $35, depending on the day. Click here to see the map where you can find all on-site parking lots.
Where can I park my bicycle at the CNE?
Parking for bicycles are available
- outside the Saskatchewan Gate (west end near Dufferin) and
- at the Princes' Gates (east end of grounds at Strachan).
