The Canadian National Exhibition Association (CNEA) has implemented a range of updated accessibility and inclusivity initiatives, including a new admissions program for CNE 2018.
These initiatives, introduced and announced in 2017, encompass all aspects of the organization, ranging from employment to admissions to customer service. Our new admissions policy is one of six broader policies, which include updating hiring processes and refreshing fair programming.
As announced in 2017, following consultation with stakeholders and the public, the CNEA implemented an admissions policy for the 2018 fair similar to other Toronto attractions, including the Toronto Zoo. Specifically introduced is a 50 per cent discount off regular in-gate purchase admission for people with disabilities who self-declare; Access 2 program cardholders received free admission for their support person. These discounts are applied to in-person, regularly-priced gate purchases only.
