From first job, to first date, to memories of the lights, sounds and delicious smells of the midway, personal connections with the Canadian National Exhibition span generations. At the CNE Foundation, we are committed not only to the preservation and protection of the rich archival collection of this cherished community tradition, we are dedicated to sharing this incredible collection with the public.

The CNE Foundation is currently creating a digital archive of the CNE collection, which includes documents, photos and slides that reflect the rich 140-year history of the Canadian National Exhibition. However, it’s a race against time. Thousands of our acetate photo negatives are quickly disintegrating and we need to digitize them now to preserve these priceless images for future generations.

Phase I of the CNE Archives Project is in progress. We have begun the painstaking process of digitizing our collection, but we need specialized equipment and experts to helps us. Your financial gift will help support this important effort.

Future phases of the CNE Archives Project will involve sharing the collection with CNE visitors and the public alike. We look forward to sharing details about these plans and how you can help in the months to come.
