The Carnival Exhibit

This exhibition celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Canadian Association of Fairs and Exhibitions.

The Carnival Exhibit gave guests a behind-the-scenes glimpse into what it takes to create one of the largest community events in Canada. With the generous permission of the Conklin Family, artifacts from midways past adorned the space, sharing the history of how Patty Conklin, the Carnival King, influenced the Canadian carnival circuit throughout his lifetime.

The exhibit was interspersed with elements and artifacts from various archives, carnivals, and personal accounts from friends, family, and colleagues.

It was curated by Virginia Eichhorn, with Harley Duck as the Assistant Curator.
